First Memorial Day of Subash Chandra Nembang Observed

Kathmandu: The first memorial day of Subash Chandra Nembang, former Chairperson of the Constituent Assembly and Vice-Chairperson of the CPN (UML), is being commemorated today. A memorial meeting will be held this afternoon at the CPN (UML) office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, to honor the late leader.

Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the gathering, as confirmed by the Prime Minister's private secretariat. Other senior leaders of the party, along with supporters, are also expected to attend the event.

Subash Chandra Nembang was a distinguished figure in Nepali politics, having been elected to the National Assembly in 2048 and 2051 BS. He secured parliamentary victories in 2056, 2074, and 2079 BS and also played a key role in the Constituent Assembly elections in 2064 and 2070 BS from Ilam.

The event serves as a tribute to Nembang's remarkable contributions to Nepali politics and the constitution-building process.
